Week of June 17 Update - Happy Fathers Day!

Here is our weekly update on the activities for the team

PRACTICE

Morning Practice starts tomorrow.  The details are as follows:

Morning practice

8:00 – 9:00 a.m.         13-18 year olds

9:00 – 10:00 a.m.        9-10, 11-12 year olds

10:00 – 10:30a.m.       8 & Unders

Afternoon practice

5:00 – 6:00 p.m.          13-18 year olds

6:00 – 7:00 p.m.          9-10, 11-12 year olds

6:30 – 7:00 p.m.          8 & Under and Pre-team practice

If your child is unable to attend the morning practice, they must attend the afternoon practice.  Your child is encouraged to do both practices if possible every day as this will increase their swimming skills and endurance quickly. If your child is NOT able to practice during the week due to injury, camp attendance, vacation or some other reason, please let me and coach Eric know as soon as possible so we can adjust the meet rosters.  If there are any questions about who can and will participate in an A meet, please direct those to me.  B meets are available to everyone on the team, including the A meet swimmers.  However, A meet swimmers may only swim in events that they did not swim in the A meet (including individual medley events).

WHAT TO DO IF YOU KNOW YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO SWIM ON SATURDAY!

Please let me, Coach Eric and Jenn Auroux (Team Automation Coordinator - jenn1029@hotmail.com) by WED AT THE LATEST!  We have a limited ability to make changes to our lineup after Thursday so the better information we have the better we can set the lineup for Saturday and include all the eligible swimmers in the meet.

TEAM PICTURE DAY

We will have Classic Photography at WWP on Thursday, June 27th to take our team picture and individual pictures.  The start time will be announced shortly but we will take the pictures in the afternoon, first the individual/family pictures then the entire team (see last years version on the outside fence at the pool).  I would very much appreciate if EVERYONE would make an effort to make it to the pool that day to be included in the team picture.

SWIM SUITS AVAILABLE AT SIGNIFICANT DISCOUNTS

We have several suits, mostly girls, in last years pattern from Speedo, available for sale at less than 50% of the price from last season.  Please email me or the general pool email address (wwpool1@gmail.com) if you are interested in trying on the suits.  For this season, if one of these suits do not fit, we are asking the kids to where an all black suit if they have one.  In addition, I still have several swim caps available.  Each child should have received one with a completed and paid registration. Make sure to get one!
