Swim Team Raft Night on August 3rd and info regarding Team Fundraising Raffle update

Hello Everyone.  I hope all of you (except our All Star Relay teams!) are looking forward to a quiet morning tomorrow.  I have secured a time for our team families to enjoy the pool with rafts (yes, parents too!) after we have a team cookout.

We will hold the end of season cookout and raft time on FRIDAY, AUGUST 3RD.  Food will be served at 6pm (burger/hot dog, chips, drink and cookie) and the pool will be closed at 7pm to just swim team to enjoy their rafts.  If you want to invite friends or a family who did not swim this year, please let me know.  We can accommodate some extras but the swim team families get priority.

I NEED A HEADCOUNT OF ATTENDEES TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE ENOUGH FOOD AND DRINKS FOR EVERYONE ATTENDING!!!!  PLEASE RSVP TO ME NO LATER THAN WED, AUGUST 1ST!

Regarding the raffle I referenced earlier, we have five hundred (500) tickets for sale for a raffle that will be drawn on Sept 1st at the pool.  There are three (3) cash prizes available, $100, $50 and $25.  Individual tickets are $5 or 5 tickets for $20.  I am asking that each swim team family take ten (10) tickets to sell.  If that is a problem for anyone please let me know.  We need the funds from this raffle to cover the remaining expenses for the team for the 2012 season.  We have a month to sell these so I am hopeful all 500 can be sold.  I have envelopes put together for each family and will be at the pool this weekend or can mail them/have you pick them up during the up coming week.  We will be on vacation starting Aug 3rd until Aug. 13th so I would like to get these distributed ASAP.

Divisional Championship meet details - Saturday, July 21st

Hello All.  This coming Saturday will be our last meet for the season in Division N.  The meet will be held at Flower Hill Pool ((8100 Mountain Laurel Lane, Gaithersburg 20879).  The divisional meet is the longest of the year and therefore starts at 8am.  Directions to the pool are below.  I encourage everyone to bring something to sit on and something to produce shade.  There will be very little of both in our team area.

We need to be at the pool no later than 6:50a so the caravan will leave the pool at 6:30a.   Team warmups begin promptly at 7:05a.  All officials need to report to the referee’s meeting by 7:30a and the timers meeting will start at 7:40a.  I have six (6) parking passes (one of which is for a handicapped space) for the coach and our officials/volunteers helping with the meet.  Anyone who does not receive  a parking pass is encouraged to park on Flower Hill Lane and enter the pool from the back entrance.  Our team area will be at that location on the pool deck.

I have listed the following individuals as officials/volunteers for the meet.  Please let me know ASAP if you cannot serve in these positions on Saturday.
