Swim Team Update for the Week of July 1st

1) the A meet with New Mark Commons has been moved to Sunday, July 15th.  Almost the entire NMC neighborhood, including their pool is without power and I know several of our families are still off-line at home as well.  With the holiday on Sunday and our relay carnival coming this Sunday, my peer at NMC and I have decided to move the meet.  More details to come but this looks to be the best option for all.

2) Practice - the practice schedule is back to normal this week.

3) NO B MEET ON WEDNESDAY DUE TO THE 4TH OF JULY HOLIDAY.  Come to the pool for a cookout instead starting at 1pm! 

4) Saturday's meet vs. Kemp Mill (11805 Stonington Place, Silver Spring 20902) - As of this writing, Kemp Mill's pool is still off-line but unless it is NOT restored by Thursday, we are going to swim at their pool.  I will send a separate email with directions and details tomorrow.

5) Sunday's Relay Carnival - On Sunday, July 8th, we will travel to the West Hillandale pool (located at 915 Schindler Drive, Silver Spring 20903).  I will send out a separate email about this tomorrow as well for volunteers but I do need to know ASAP if anyone will NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE THIS MEET.  Our volunteer requirements are less and include the following:

(1) Stroke & Turn Judge

(1) Clerk of Course

(1) Ribbons/Awards person

(3) Timers

(1) Take-Off Judge (who actually only works for half of the events)

(1) Head or Asst. Head Timer

(1) Starter (may not be needed but good to have someone signed up just in case).

Please let me know which positions you can fill.  If we get enough volunteers, then we can split the assignments so that each volunteer only works for half of the meet.
